Hello and welcome to my latest newsletter. You may be pleased to know that this edition is just for information.
I am taking part in the Essential Beauty and Wellbeing Show, at the Hop Farm, Paddock Wood over the weekend of 21 st & 22 nd April. It promises to be a great event which is aimed at women and sounds like a really entertaining day out.
It is an opportunity for me to sell my fitness videos/DVDs along with JA Fitness T-shirts and funky purple scarves. I will be selling off all my stock here, so this will be your last chance to buy any of these unique products. You are welcome to contact me if you would like to place an order before the show, or it would be lovely to see a friendly face at the Hop Farm. (Apologies if you are reading this and do not live in Kent ).
There will be local advertising of the event or details can be found on www.thehopfarm.co.uk or by calling 0870 0274166.
After the show my website will purely market my skills as a Personal Trainer, along with the usual fitness tips and advice. I have decided to keep my sports massage skills for family only, not as part of my business or marketing.
It would be rude of me not to give you a fitness tip while I have the opportunity so this is a simple one for everyone, male or female, young or old.
One of the best ways to look and feel good is to have the correct posture. Part of this comes from training your lower stomach muscles, or pelvic floor to give their correct title. This exercise can be done anywhere, while standing, sitting or lying down.
- Think of the muscle that runs across your pubic bone.
- Pull up your pelvic floor muscles. For the men this means squeezing your muscles to stop yourself from going to the toilet. For women this also means zipping up your internal child-bearing muscles.
- Pull your tummy button in towards your spine.
- At the same time, try to relax the rest of your body, particularly the neck and shoulders.
- Remember to keep breathing and try to look as though you are not really doing anything.
If you cannot feel certain muscles don’t worry, simply break down the exercise so that you squeeze the muscles separately. Try this 2 or 3 times, holding for about 20 seconds, whenever you think about it.
Please feel free to contact me. Best wishes
